How They Met
Casey and Mackie’s story began by an encounter with fate. Two Virginia kids whose paths kept crossing until it finally meant something. They originally met in college, Casey recognized Mackie because he went to high school with her brothers. He was visiting Bridgewater from VMI, wearing his high school soccer shirt, when she asked, “Wait… do you know my brother?”
A simple question sparked something much bigger.
The First Date
Though they met in 2017, it wasn’t until 2019 that their first real date finally happened. They chose an adult arcade bar in Richmond, lighthearted, fun, and effortless, the same energy their relationship would come to be built on. By 2021, Mackie knew Casey was his person. One year later, in 2022, they were married.
The Proposal
The proposal was never supposed to happen in a parking lot, but love rarely follows the plan.
Mackie originally intended to propose on a scenic Colorado hike, but Casey came back from a trip sick as could be. So he improvised. He drove up from Colorado Springs because he couldn’t wait another moment… especially with a trip to Breckenridge coming up where the news would almost certainly slip.
Casey walked out of her apartment and found him waiting, ring in hand, heart pounding.
She was in shock. He was relieved. And they were engaged.
The rest of the night was perfectly imperfect: a celebratory dinner at a grass-fed burger spot, Mackie accidentally dropping her burger on the floor, and later dropping her wedding band in the parking lot. Moments that you look back at and laugh.
The Wedding
A year later, they married on St. Simons Island, where Mackie’s family is from. The celebration was held on Musgrove, a breathtaking 600-acre plantation on the water. One hundred of their closest friends and family danced under the Southern sky all night long.

Their Bouquet Fine Jewelry Experience
“Flawless customer service” is how Casey described it.
From sourcing the perfect stone to polishing the final setting, the experience was personal, effortless, and deeply meaningful. We were honored to help create a ring that reflects their timeless, laid-back, deeply rooted love story.
