How did you two meet?
Trevor and Meredith met during their third year at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. They were both at a fraternity function—one of those college nights where you don’t expect anything meaningful to happen—and yet it did. A simple introduction turned into an easy conversation, and from that point forward, their paths kept crossing in all the right ways.
Your first date
Their first date was classic Charlottesville: Brazos Tacos followed by a slow walk around the UVA Grounds. Nothing elaborate, just good food, good conversation, and that early feeling of comfort that tells you someone might end up being important.
How long were you together before the proposal?
They’ve been together for almost seven years. After graduation, Trevor moved to Washington, D.C., before eventually heading to New York for work. Meredith followed about a year later, and the two built a life in the city together—new jobs, new routines, new friends, and the same steady partnership that started back at UVA.
How did he propose?
Bouquet Fine Jewelry helped Trevor plan the proposal to make it truly unforgettable. On a quiet afternoon, Trevor suggested they take a walk, eventually making their way to Gramercy Park—one of the only private parks in Manhattan. Thanks to Bouquet’s access to the park, they were able to enter and have the space all to themselves.
Inside the park’s ivy-lined pathways, Trevor got down on one knee and asked Meredith to marry him. It was intimate, peaceful, and perfectly them.
Afterward, Trevor surprised her with a dinner joined by both sets of parents, who had secretly traveled to New York for the occasion. And the night didn’t end there—later, 80+ of their closest friends and family gathered in their backyard in the East Village to celebrate. A proposal, a family reunion, and a full-blown party all in one night.

What are the wedding plans?
Trevor and Meredith will be getting married on Halloween in 2026 in Upstate New York. The details are still being finalized, but planning is well underway and moving quickly. If their proposal night was any indication, the wedding will be full of personality, celebration, and everyone they love.
